Style Rider, Danny Clayton – Triumph Bonneville

Style Rider aims to document the world’s most stylish motorcycle riders, be they riders of classic, custom or cafe racer steeds. Focused on the intersection of motorcycle culture with individual style, here we speak to TV Host Danny Clayton about understated style and great leather jackets.

Name: Danny Clayton

Residence: Sydney, Australia

Occupation: TV Host

Instagram: @DannyClayton

Today’s ride: 2004 Triumph Bonneville

Describe your style: Simple. Understated. Give me some classic racing goggles and a slick leather jacket—a flight jacket for winter and possibly a beaten up Norton jacket for summer—and I’m ready to roll.

Favourite item: All Saints slim fit leather jacket.

Next purchase: A new Shoei RF-1200 Helmet. Or maybe even a new bike! Triumph’s new Speed Twin looks beautiful.

Style inspiration: Mark Hawwa from DGR. Such a dreamboat.

Best local ride: Bells Line of Road for its twisting turns and mountain vistas.

Best distance ride: The Great Ocean Road.

Tip for stylish motorcycle riding: Always have someone better looking than you as a passenger.

Next motorcycle trip: Sydney to Thredbo, making sure to avoid the Roos and will take it slow when it gets icy.

Why do you like riding? Because it’s better than skipping? The honest answer, because when you are in a ‘state of flow’ or entirely focused, it almost feels dreamlike.
