The sights of Sydney Harbour

Sydney Harbour offers so many visual delights. When time permits, I enjoy long walks around the foreshore taking in the sights of Woolloomooloo naval yard and the Royal Botanic Gardens before rounding the bend to see the Sydney Opera House framed by the Harbour Bridge. Then I walk onwards through Circular Quay, The Rocks and under the Harbour Bridge to the wharves of Walsh Bay before taking in the newer precincts of Bangaroo and King Street Wharf. Each season offers its own attractions, however, it is at the end of winter that I find Sydney Harbour at its most appealing. This time of year, the sky is—mostly—vivid blue, the sun shining and the moderate temperatures are ideal for walking. These images were taken over two consecutive days accounting for the differences in light.
