Style Rider Motorcycles is a limited-edition 300+page coffee table book of photographs and interviews with stylish motorcycle riders. Each interview explores the riders’ passion for motorcycles, their individual sense of style, favourite rides and motorcycling tips.
I interviewed over 50 riders in Australia and Japan, each with a love of riding and an elevated sense of style. They range from young to old, riding a mixture of custom, classics, cafe racers, scooters and stock rides.
What inspired me throughout the project was the stories of each rider; Atsushi, Founder of Freewheelers, rides his pre-war Harleys daily through the streets of Tokyo, Tito and Alyce got married in their Ural sidecar, Georgio worked on his streamliner BMW custom every Sunday for six years, Luciana who started riding after recovering from breast cancer, and finally, Dare, Founder of Deus ex Machina, who is still riding well into his 70’s.
Style Rider Motorcycles is a passion project, not a commercial one. The Kickstarter crowd funding covers the costs of printing a limited edition, hard cover coffee table book.
The book is now complete and at the printers.
