One Outfit For Life is a clothing related project asking the question; ‘If you could only wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?’
The idea explores why we gravitate to certain looks; outfits that work for the various aspects of our life—work, home, hobbies, going out with friends—, whilst also reflecting our unique personalities. In this series, we ask people of different styles, professions and ages to think about what they wear and why one outfit is the best fit for their life and why each interviewee came up with their particular outfit ahead of all other available choices.
Here we speak with Project Director, DJ and Composer Dimitri Amvrazis about how his chosen outfit allows him to move between the different worlds he occupies; work, family, music, DJing, riding motorcycles and social without requiring a completely different identity for each one.

If you could only wear one outfit, what would it be and why?
Pleated trousers, clean Jordan sneakers, a fitted polo, a cropped blouson and a sometimes a cap. It sits right in the middle of everything I like about style: tailored but relaxed, elevated but not overly polished. It’s an outfit I can wear almost anywhere and still feel like myself.
How does this collection of clothes allow you to move between the various aspects of your life?
My life moves between a lot of different worlds … work, family, music, DJing, riding motorcycles, social and I don’t want a completely different identity for each one. This outfit gives me that flexibility. I can wear it during the day, go to a meeting, jump on the bike, head to dinner or end up somewhere playing music without feeling overdressed or underdressed.
List what you are wearing:
Pleated trousers – Suit Supply
Fitted polo shirt – Uniqlo
Cropped blouson jacket – Industrie
Jordan sneakers – Nike Jordan
Cap – Insight
If money was no object, what is the ultimate version of this outfit?
I’d keep the same overall silhouette but make every piece exceptional. Perfectly tailored trousers, an incredible knit or polo, a beautifully cut cropped jacket and a pair of limited-edition Jordans. I’d probably finish it with a really good watch and understated jewellery. For me, luxury isn’t about having logos everywhere … it’s about the fit, materials and details being perfect.
What is the origin of this look for you?
It’s a combination of a few different influences. Growing up around European style, my love of sneakers and streetwear, and then my life around music and motorcycles. I’ve always liked the contrast between something tailored and something more casual. As I’ve got older, I’ve moved away from chasing trends towards having a consistent uniform that feels like me.
How do you feel when you wear this?
Confident, comfortable and put together without feeling like I’m trying too hard. That’s probably the most important thing for me. If I’m wearing something that feels natural, I carry myself differently.
Imagine you were put in charge of designing a capsule wardrobe based around your style. What would it comprise?
I’d keep it tight and make everything interchangeable:
2–3 pairs of tailored/pleated trousers
2 relaxed trousers or cargos
3–4 fitted polos
2 premium T-shirts
2 cropped blouson or bomber jackets
1 really good overshirt
1 tailored jacket
2 pairs of Jordans or similar sneakers
1 clean minimalist sneaker
2 caps
A good watch and a few understated accessories
The idea would be that almost everything works with everything else. A small wardrobe, but with enough variation to move between work, weekends, music and going out.
